On January 17, 1987, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Taylor was born. Later in life, in the year 2009, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Communications at Barry University. While pursuing the degree, she put her radio voice to good use by working as a manager for the university’s radio station WBRY 1640 AM.
Taylor is from quite an athletic family. Her brother Jason Taylor is a former NFL defensive end. Joy is married to her husband, Richard Gianotti, who works as a President – Athlete Asset Management for Global Wealth Management.
