Darya Klishina is a Russian long jumper who has won the World Youth Championships, European Youth Olympics, European Junior Championships, European Indoor Championships, European U23 Championships and Universiade. On 26 June 2010, she set a Russian junior record with a jump of 7.03 metres. Born Darya Igorevna Klishina on January 15, 1991 in Tver, Russia, to parents Nadezhda and Igor Klishin, Klishina began playing volleyball at the age of eight. At 13, she changed her preference for athletics in specialty long jump, thanks to the influence of her father, a former athlete.
